Watch Paul Hamm’s Most Recent Training Video
Posted on 11 July 2008 by admin
Paul Hamm’s comeback from his broken right hand continues to progress very impressively. Check out this video that was posted on Paul and Morgan’s website on July 10
Contrast that with the video that Hamm posted on his site on June 18
The June 18 video was posted just barely 4 weeks after Hamm suffered his injury at the VISA National Championships. It appears that Paul is still not doing release moves, but he’s making a lot of progress. We were informed by one of our readers (Jen) that it was indeed Morgan who was doing the release moves in the June 18 video.
Paul Hamm continues to amaze with his remarkable comeback.

Actually the person doing the release moves on high bar and the other demanding moves in the June 18th video was Morgan not Paul. Paul just started doing actual gymnastics again as seen in the July 10th video. But I agree with you that he continues to amaze.

Jen, you may be right. We went back and looked at the June 18th video again. While it is definitely all Paul in the first half, we noticed that the twin amazing us on pommel has Morgan’s impressive pectoral scar.
We can’t tell which Hamm twin is seen flying over the high bar, but since now we’ve seen Morgan on the video too, it could be him on bar as well.
We assumed this video was Paul’s little gift to the Selection Committee, which it was, even if he shared it with his brother.
Do you or anyone know for sure that it’s Morgan on bar?

I sure that its Morgan because when Miles lifts him up onto the bar, and when he dismounts, you can see his face and see that it is Morgan (the nose is the clue). I believe that all the footage after “The Comeback Continues” is Morgan, with the progress of his comeback.
In their latest video Paul still isn’t doing release moves yet so that also leads me to believe that its Morgan in the June 18th video.

Hi Jen…I believe you are correct. I just wish I was better at telling those two apart! It was still amazing seeing Paul doing the things he was doing just 4 weeks after his injury. Can’t wait to hear how he and the other guys do on Saturday (7/19) at the intra-squad meet the Olympic team will have in Colorado Springs.

Glad I could help ya out. ; ) Don’t feel bad about not being able to tell them apart, I only know how because they’ve been my favorite gymnasts for about a decade… I can’t to hear how the intra-squad meet goes, I would love to be there to watch.
