USA Gymnastics Announces 2009 Level 9 Men’s JO National Team

USAG announced the 2009 Level 9 JO National Team, made up of 14 gymnasts. Region I has five members on the team, while Cypress Academy (Houston) is the only club team with two members. The team was chosen based on their performances at the 2009 JO Nationals held earlier this month in Cincinnati, OH.
- Allan Bower – Xtreme (Region 1)
- Sean Melton – Orlando Metro (Region 8)
- Timmy Wang – South Coast (Region 1)
- Jacob Dastrup – Arete (Region 9)
- Andrew Rickly – Hocking Valley (Region 5)
- Jesse Himmelsbach – Queen City (Region 5)
- Andrew Botto – San Mateo (Region 1)
- David Jessen – Tim Daggett (Region 6)
- Jeffrey Frantom – Gymcats (Region 1)
- Nick Spiro – New Hope (Region 1)
- Yul Moldauer – 5280 (Region 9)
- Ari McEwing – High Performance (Region 7)
- Hunter Justus – Cypress Academy (Region 3)
- Colin VanWicklen – Cypress Academy (Region 3)
Bower, Melton, Wang, Dastrup and Himmelsbach were all on the JO National Team last year. These fine gymnasts will be among a fine crop of incoming Level 10s (14-15) next season. The 2009 Junior National Team will be selected based on their performances at VISAs in August.
