Review of Cal’s 2008 Men’s Gymnastics Season

Thanks to the The Chalk Bucket for posting the review of Cal’s 2008 men’s gymnastics season . The article speaks for itself.
Our thoughts about the upcoming 2009 season: Coming off their fifth place finish at the 2008 NCAA Championships, the 2009 season looks even shinier for the Golden Bears.
Although Cal loses All-American Tim McNeill, Tyler Block, Aaron Moy, Kyle Brady, Kyle Litow and Colin Christ to graduation, the Bears will be loaded for, well, bear next season. The Bunthuwong brothers, Kyson and Kyle, will be back with solid NCAA experience behind them.
Perhaps the most promising incoming freshman in the country, SCATS Gymnastics’ Glen Ishino is a golden nugget for the team’s prospects. Ishino is coming off a brilliant club season after winning the all-around championships at the 2008 J.O. Nationals and VISA Nationals.
Stanford and Oklahoma will be losing some of their brilliance with the graduation of stellar talent like David Sender, Jonathan Horton and Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons, which should give the Bears a shot at overcoming those teams.
