Raj Bhavsar to Compete for First Time Since Beijing

Posted on 28 April 2009 by admin

Four members of the U.S. Men’s National Team have been selected to compete in the World Stars/World Cup meet in Moscow May 29-30. During that same weekend, Joey Hagerty will be competing in a new event, the Champions Trophy, in Frankfurt, Germany.  Raj Bhavsar, among the four chosen to compete in the Moscow event, will be competing for the first time since the ’08 Beijing Olympics.

Here are the five chosen to compete internationally:

  • Raj Bhavsar
  • Joey Hagerty
  • Chris Brooks
  • Guillermo Alvarez
  • David Sender

Sender, Alvarez, Hagerty and Brooks all competed at the 2009 Winter Cup, where they earned their Senior National Team credentials.  We hear Raj has been working on some new routines, and he’s working hard on coming up with some moves to be named after him.  It will be nice to see Brooks, the newly minted Sr. National Team member, get some well-deserved international exposure.
