No Pain, No Games for the Hamm Twins
Posted on 24 July 2008 by admin
Paul and Morgan Hamm are identical twins, but their long, vicious twin scars are in different places, which might help some tell them apart. Morgan got his scar when he tore his pectoral muscle last fall and needed surgery. Paul’s still-too-fresh-looking red gash on his hand follows the surgery he had on May 27, when Dr. Lawrence Lubbers put his 4th metacarpal bone back together with a steel plate and nine screws.
The mental discipline needed to push through the pain as they both rehabilitated their bodies post-accident will serve them well for the thick air of competition in Beijing. If you haven’t seen Paul’s video of the nurse’s unveiling of his hand post-surgery, put aside your snack and give it a watch now .
