For those unable to attend, it looks like there will be live scoring for each session of the men’s competition at VISAs. Additionally, there will also be a "quick hits" running commentary section.
As a reminder, the second day of the Men’s Senior Division competition will be webcast on Universal Sports. For those who have Universal Sports on their cable system, Day 2 will be broadcast live. Day 2 competition starts on Friday, August 14 at 7:00pm CDT. NBC will air highlights of the Men’s Senior action on Saturday, August 15 at 2:00pm CDT.
According to the most updated start list, Dominic Morris and Sean Senters have withdrawn from the competition, thus diluting the 14-15 field a bit since both gymnasts would have contended for top 5 positions in the all around. Other withdrawals include Sasha Artemev, Sean Golden, Raj Bhavsar and Kyle Oi. According to Inside Gymnastics, David Sender is calling it quits after VISAs and will enter vet school at Ilinois.
The top 42 finishers from the combined Jr/Sr field on Day 1 will vie for ten of the automatic spots on the U.S. National Team. The National Team Points System will be used to determine the top 10. The top 20 finishers on each event will be awarded points in descending order. The amount of points awarded for each event will be totaled up for a final point total for each gymnast. The remaining five spots on the team will be hand-picked.
