Cal sophomore Kyle Bunthuwong was added to the previously announced U.S. squad that will compete in next month’s Japan Cup.  Bunthuwong, a current member of the U.S. Senior National Team, will be joining his former Cal teammate, Tim McNeill on the trip.

Here is the complete men’s squad:

• Sho Nakamori
• Jonathan Horton
• Tim McNeill
• Steven Legendre
• Danell Leyva

This is going to be an exciting meet, which will include such 2008 Olympic notables as Germany’s Fabian Hambuchen, Japan’s Kohei Uchimura, China’s YiBing Chen and Russia’s Maxim Devyatovsky.  The team championship (3-up/3-count) will be held on July 18 and the All-Around competition (12 gymnasts/2 per team) on July 19.  For the U.S. squad, the Japan Cup will be an excellent tune-up for VISAs, which will be held a month later.
