Two-time USAG Collegiate Gymnastics Champion, USAF Capt. Levi Torkelson, was killed in a traffic accident on December 27 in San Antonio, TX. Torkelson was an assistant men’s gymnastics coach for the Air Force Academy. Torkelson’s brother, Cory, suffered severe injuries and is in intensive care. Cory’s fiance, Kate Green, was hospitalized and is in stable condition.

This is a huge loss for the Air Force Academy and our condolences go out to Torkelson’s loved ones. Torkelson was recently awarded the Bronze Star for his meritorious service in Iraq.
