2009 Men’s JO Nationals: Day 2

Another marathon day of competition concluded with today’s level 9 competition. The top qualifiers advance to tomorrow’s all-around competition and Sunday’s individual event finals. There were no surprises as Orlando Metro’s Sean Melton (84.50) edged past Xtreme’s Allan Bower (84.10) in what’s shaping up to be a replay of last year’s all-around finals. Melton also had the day’s highest scores on floor, pommel horse and rings.
TOP ALL-AROUND QUALIFIERS
- Sean Melton (Orlando Metro) – 84.50
- Allan Bower (Xtreme) – 84.10
- Timmy Wang (South Coast) – 82.85
- Jacob Dastrup (Arete) – 81.40
- Jeffrey Frantom (Gymcats) – 81.05
Region I made it a clean sweep of the regional team titles, as they coasted to an easy win today.
